Barcelona Bicing, Clear Channel
This public bicycle was developed as part of the design competition for Barcelona’s Bicing system in 2017.
The concept focused on three key pillars: robustness, long-term durability, and anti-vandalism features all essential for shared urban transport.
To ensure maximum strength, the frame was designed with a triangular cross-section, offering both structural stability and visual identity.
The bike also had to meet a series of technical and user-oriented requirements, including:
– an adjustable saddle,
– integrated storage rack,
– docking connector for station anchoring,
– built-in lighting,
– chain cover,
– kickstand,
– space for an optional battery,
– and a dedicated panel for advertising or branding.
This approach blends functionality, sustainability, and public service into a compact urban mobility solution designed to withstand intensive daily use.
