Damm chair, SP Berner
This outdoor chair was designed for bar terraces using a hybrid structure: metal legs combined with a recycled polypropylene (PP) injection-molded seat. The concept was driven by the need to balance comfort, durability, and efficiency across its entire lifecycle.
Key design goals included:
– Comfortable ergonomics for extended use.
– Lightweight construction for easy handling and transport.
– High durability for outdoor conditions.
– Stackability for logistical optimization.
– And cost-effective production suitable for large-scale distribution.
The result is a smart, sustainable solution for high-traffic hospitality spaces, combining visual simplicity with long-term resilience.
